Monthly Salary Range: Pakistan Rs. 120K -- 180K -- may vary



Essential Requirements:

-- About 4 to 6 years consulting (or similar) experience in the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence domain

[Candidates with Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence experience]



Preferred Education/Certifications

-- Degrees with majors in BCS/BIT/BE Software Engineering or MCS/MIT after 4 Years of Computer Science/IT Education

-- Certification in BI/Teradata will be preferred -- but are not required.



Job Overview:

-- This is a consultancy position. The person will be responsible for providing consultancy in the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence domain to other Business Units within the company Group Globally.

-- The person will also be responsible for helping other Business Units in developing and maintaining BI Roadmap in line with their Business Strategy.

-- Responsibilities also include driving the expansion and integration of company Global BI Community.



Skills Required:

-- Must have a strong BI background with good working experience on the implementation of BI Technologies especially for the Telco industry.

-- The Person should also have very good presentation and communication skills and should be adapt at delivering presentations at all Levels.

-- Must be willing to travel for long periods outside Pakistan.



Job Description:

- Ensuring success of assigned projects in other Business Units by providing consultancy that adds value to other Business Units.

- Ensuring that the architecture & design of the assigned projects is harmonized across BI Solutions and is as per Company Group and industry standard implementations.

- Manage scoping and design of new and existing applications deployed on top of data warehouse.

- Understanding Business and Technical Environment (DWH/BI etc) of other Business Units in Company Group

- Work on various internal R&D initiatives and devise smart and intelligent solutions for complex BI problems

- Work on internal coordination of Global Business Intelligence Program

- Proposing relevant solutions in regards to the ongoing projects compatible with varying Data Warehouse and BI architectures.

- Explore and recommend latest BI tools and technologies that are aligned with Business strategy and requirements

- Develop Best Practices document for sharing with other Business Units.

- Uses skills in data design and modeling techniques to develop robust solutions according to the proposed design.

- Develop comprehensive BI training material for relevant BI staff in Technical and Commercial departments in other Business Units.

- Planning of the overall architecture of the solution, including performance considerations, storage selections, data schemas, and subject definitions.

- Identify issues and recommend initiatives to address data quality and data integrity.

- Ensure that the Projects deliver business value and are aligned with the strategy of company & Business requirements.

- Identifying opportunities for technology-related improvement based on benchmark data and doing high-level cost benefit analysis.

- Analyze project’s scope for accuracy and relevance with the end user’s requirements and formulate these into robust technical solution.

- Develop, modify, deploy, functionally test and maintain assigned projects according to business users’ requirements
